TIDE RIPS THE MISSOURI TIGERS 80-71
'Bama cuts down turnovers to 13
Alabama dominates the boards by 8

First and foremost, the Tide whipped Missouri 80-71. The score in no way indicates how one sided the game was for 'Bama. I'll give credit for Missouri for not giving up. They made the score respectable and played hard. Like Alabama, they were playing short-handed. The win takes the Tide to a 13-9 overall and improves the SEC record to 4-6. Alabama takes on #8 Texas A&M next week. Despite the team's overall record, the Tide is 4-2 against ranked teams this season. The win over Missouri keeps Alabama's hopes for the post-season alive. A win over Texas A&M will require the NIT and hopefully NCAA to give the Crimson and White some serious consideration. Nothing would be cast in stone, but those wins are impressive.

Alabama was led in scoring by Riley Norris, who keeps on keeping on in the SEC. Norris had another solid game with 18 points.  He also had five rebounds. Retin Obasahan had 16 points and was the Tide's leading rebounder with 7.  The best thing I saw in the game was good inside play by Taylor and Kessens. They combined for 18 points and ten boards. Anthony Edwards played an excellent game with 11 points which included three from downtown. Coleman made a couple of nice assists and looked like he is getting closer to full speed.

The A&M game is the most important game left on the Tide's schedule. A&M was recently listed as #2 seed by Joe Lunardi. That seems pretty high to me, but his projections are usually spot on. To get to the NCAA the Tide as to find some way to pass TAM, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina and maybe Vandy. Florida got killed by Kentucky and SC beat TAM. I don't think those two losses hurt Florida and TAM from getting in the field but will affect their seeding. I think Georgia still has an outside chance of making the NCAA.
